The Department of Veterans Affairs' mobile veterans center will visit Bloomsburg on Friday, February 10th from 10 am to 2:30 pm.  The mobile vet center will be located in the parking lot of the TPC Powercenter, located at Tenny Street and Route 11, just north of Bloomsburg.  The visit was originally scheduled for Friday, February 3rd, but was changed due to a veterans meeting in Harrisburg.


The FREE Saturday "Trains Program", at Christ Memorial Episcopal Church, Pine and East Market Streets, Danville, will be open Saturdays from 10 am to noon.  They have a new "talking train," the Amtrak "Pennsylvanian" and dozens of other trains that children and adults can play with.


The FREE Wheelchair Train Engineers program at the Columbia Mall, is open Mondays from 3 to 5 pm.  The layout is wheelchair accessible and is located at the Sears end of the mall.  Master craftsman, Earl Wagner, is helping children and adults enlarge the Wheelchair Engineers' HO layout.  Helpers are welcome.

The 78h Annual Men's Oyster Supper will be held Tuesday, February 7th, 6:30 pm at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Turbotville.  Reservations are not required but it would be helpful if you could give them some indication of how many will be in your group, a week prior to the supper.


The Women's Center, of Columbia/Montour counties, is hosting their Spring Volunteer Training, Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 6 to 9 pm, beginning Tuesday, February 7th and continuing until Thursday, April 12th.  The training will be at The Women's Center Administrative building, 111 North Market Street, Bloomsburg and Registration will be accepted until Friday, February 3rd.  (Information:  570-784-6632)


St. Cyril Spiritual Center in Danville will host a reflection day entitled "Listening to Winter".  The event will be held Saturday, February 11th from 10 am to 3 pm.  For more information or to register call 275-3581.


The 2nd Annual Sweetheart Banquet with the True Heart Quartet will be held on  Saturday February 11th at 6pm at Country Cupboard. Tickets are required and can be obtained by calling 522-6494.


Maranatha Christian School will be hosting its annual "Pie-Volleyball Fundraiser" on Friday, February 3rd.  The evening will begin with a baked goods auction at 7 pm and Volleyball  to follow.  A food stand will be available for a light supper.


 Marc Varano, of LIFE Geisinger, Kulpmont, will present a FREE informational seminar on Thursday, February 9th, 10:30 am, at the Mount Carmel Senior Center, 41 S. A Craft & Vendor Show will be held Saturday, February 4th, 9 am to 2 pm, at Saint Paul's Church, 1000 Orange Street in Berwick.  There will be a Chinese Auction, Baked Goods for sale, and food will be available to eat-in or take-out.


St. Luke Lutheran Church, Lightstreet Road, Bloomsburg is holding a Spaghetti Supper Saturday, February 4th from 4:30 to 7 pm.  Children 4 and under eat free.


The Jacobs Brothers will present a night of Gospel music, Saturday, February 4th, 7 pm, at the Mifflinburg Alliance Church.  Admission to the concert is FREE, a love offering will be received.  The church is located 1.2 miles north of Route 45 in Mifflinburg, off Forest Hill Road.


James Weller, of Missions to Russia and Eastern Europe, will be speaking at the Evendale Bible Church, Wednesday, February 8th at 7:30 pm.  The church is located at 1289 Sand Valley Road, Richfield.

The Susquehanna Valley Law Enforcement Camp Cadet and Applebee's are hosting a Celebrity Service Night.  All tips received from 5 to 9 pm on Wednesday, February 29th will go directly to the Susquehanna Valley Law Enforcement Camp Cadet program.  Camp Cadet is a one-week summer youth camp for boys and girls ages 12 thru 15.  The camp is FREE to the cadets and is funded by donations from industry and private citizens.


The Veteran's Community Pool in McClure is having their 4th annual "Charity Basket Auction" and "Chinese Auction" Saturday, March 3rd at the McClure American Legion.  Doors open at 5 pm.  The basket auction will begin at 7 pm.  Light refreshments will be available.
